Happy Birthday Brother Franklin.

A quick reminder from the Wonkette this morning.

Happy Birthday Brother Franklin, ok, one day late…

I had mentioned this last year at Franklin’s tercentary, or 300th birthday, but it’s that time of year once again.

The post from Wokette has a modern kitsch analysis of the brother’s time at the formation of America. Not a bad analysis, even with the Grand Master Flash… You may remember most recently, Franklin’s reappearance in commercials for the Grand lodge of Massachusetts.

If you haven’t had the chance, I still recommend going out to catch his traveling exhibit, which may be nearby soon. I’d love to see it but it dosen’t look to be coming this way anytime soon. If you go, I’d love to hear about it.

  2. shameful of the GL system in those days were just as petty and did not give him a masonic burial when he passed.
A great mason who lived masonry and was chastised by the GL system for not being controlled and visiting and having fellowship with masons not recognized by the Mainstream system.
    Kudos Brother Ben!
